Spring Break Program “The Business and Culture of Food”

This week, we are welcoming to Rome the University of Illinois Gies Business School students for their one-week Spring Break program “The Business and Culture of Food”.  Our Fall, Winter and Spring break programs examine the historical and intellectual origins, growth and development of today’s food issues, the connections among them and consequences for the future. We strive to prepare activities that draw ideas and information from many fields, addressing concerns common to all disciplines and recognizing no boundaries to thought and inquiry.
In a week students will have the opportunity to take part in food tastings, meet with experts in food business start-ups, learn about business of agritourisms and social farms and participate in a one day excursion during which they will be involved in a cheese making workshop and a wine tasting.

We can’t wait to meet the students!
