Job Trends

According to the Better Business, Better World Business & Sustainable Development Commission, the Sustainable Development Goals can generate up to 380 million new jobs by 2030.

One study by the US Department of Agriculture suggests that 60,000 new jobs are being created yearly in the United States for college graduates interested in food systems and sustainability between 2015 and 2020.    Nearly half are in non-technical areas.  A premium will be placed on graduates with international experience.  The study concludes by stating these new workers “must exert global leadership in providing sustainable food systems, adequate water resources, and renewable energy in a world of population growth and climate change.”
