Seeking professors and instructors

GUSTOLAB INTERNATIONAL FOOD SYSTEMS AND SUSTAINABILITY is seeking temporary/adjunct/part-time professors and instructors to teach in its Rome Headquarters during the 2020-2021 academic year. We are specifically looking for professors who can teach:

  • European Politics & Economy
  • Italian history
  • Economy and Political Economy in Italy
  • Italian foodways and lifestyles
  • Italian food and culture 
  • Architecture and art history in Italy
  • The origins and history of Italian food
  • Food Systems in Italy
  • Media and Film
  • Sustainable practices
  • Food Anthropology
  • Environmental Humanities
  • Hospitality and tourism
  • Sustainable tourism
  • Green economy
  • Geopolitics and Migration
  • Global markets

The preferred candidate will have:

  • An MA or a PhD in subjects related to the field that will be taught.
  • Experience in teaching within international education and the U.S. academic system (proven)
  • Experience in publishing (a record of publications in the field will be an advantage)
  • Good interpersonal and intercultural skills
  • An interest in building strategic alliances with local communities
  • Good understanding of the Italian culture and system
  • English and Italian language proficiency (professional level).
  • An Italian work permit and must already be located in Italy
