The screenshot below shows absences and grades by your secret student number (for privacy). For the last Media Post I have not yet given a grade but rather noted T (if there are technical problems like it was formatted as pdf instead of photo attachment), L (for late submissions), S (for serious spelling mistakes) and G (for good, although improvements can still be made). If you submitted it but don’t have a letter in the column it probably means that your subject line didn’t follow instructions so my filter didn’t find your submission. Read the instructions again and try resending.

For future media post submissions please attach your photo at at least Large size.

Updated Deadlines (posting 15 March)

Most of you have presented your work in progress and I agreed that the grade for the presentation will be based on the handout submission. Rather than have another meeting next Monday let’s just meet in groups on Wed 5 April to check your progress.

You have all submitted your presentation handouts, thank you. I will provide feedback and grades in Wed. class. We will work Wed. on your rough cut video editing which is due at 6:00 pm on Wed. Remember, the rough cut should be short (about 2 minutes) interviews regarding your topic, with clear audio and titles. Try integrating video footage and/or still photographs with the interview to make it more interesting.

(past) So the new plan if all agree is to discuss your progress informally during the walk on Wed 15 March (if you have handouts ready, great). Then by Wed. 22 March at 23:59 submit by email your 2 page handout/progress report detailing your progress to date. This should be A4 portrait format, contain titles, text, illustrations, about your research. Save it as a single pdf titled “Sustainable Rome Presentation_Lastname,Lastname,Lastname” and email it to thomas.rankin@gustolab.com with the same file name in the subject line.

The Presentation Rubric below still applies but the handout submission will also be taken into account in the last item.

Is the text well written and appropriate to the course? Is it as concise as possible, avoiding unnecessary words? For example, instead of “This is a picture of the garden at the Villa Borghese which I took to show how the pine trees provide shade…” a post could begin “The pine trees of the Villa Borghese provide shade…” = 3

TOTAL = 10 possible points
