Conference on Food Studies in Taiwan

GLi attends the Ninth International Conference on Food Studies in Kaohsiung City, Taiwan. This year, the conference partner is the National Kaohsiung University of Hospitality and Tourism and the special focus is “Culinary Science: A New Foodway?”.  The three sub themes are: Food Production and Sustainability – Exploring the environmental conditions of food production; Food, Nutrition, and Health – Investigating the interrelationships of nutrition and human health; Food Politics, Policies, and Cultures- Exploring claims, controversies, positions, interests and values connected with food.

This annual event is organized by the Food Studies Research Network. Founded in 2011, the network revolves around a common interest to explore new possibilities for sustainable food production and human nutrition, and associated impacts of food systems on culture. Two years ago, GLi served as the conference partner together with Roma Tre University. Learn more
